ECITB Training Courses | Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI)

Petracarbon is an approved training provider from Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) for delivering Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI) training courses, that are in line with industry standards and practices.

This ECITB MJI course focuses on skills in performing various techniques using a range of bolting tools, which enable delegates to learn isolation, dismantling, alignment, and tightening techniques on various types of flanges, as well as inspection of components as per industry requirements.

Joint Integrity MJI 10, 18 & 19

Course Overview

The program will start off with mechanical joint integrity first principle; with safety Induction pertaining to bolted joint connection. This includes all aspects of hazards, health and safety, guidance and practical exercises about safe use and good working practices before embarking on the rest of the MJI modules:

➡️ MJI 01: Mechanical Joint Integrity First Principles
➡️ MJI 10: Hand Torqued Bolted Connections
➡️ MJI 11: Hand Torqued Clamp Connectors
➡️ MJI 18: Hydraulically Tensioned Bolted Connections
➡️ MJI 19: Hydraulically Torqued Bolted Connections
➡️ MJI 20: Hydraulically Torqued Clamp Connectors

Joint Integrity MJI 10 and MJI 19

Hydraulically Torque Bolted Connection Techniques

➡️ ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity is stage one of the four stage ECITB MJI training
standards validating skills in the specialist critical bolting area.
➡️ Mechanical Joint Integrity training is delivered in a purpose-built centre
to the latest ECITB industry standards.
➡️ Petracarbon Training’s instructors are time served in a mechanical discipline and
have worked as hands on technicians/supervisors in the mechanical joint integrity industry.

Course Overview

➡️ ECITB Mechanical Joint Integrity MJI-10 & MJI-19 concentrate on the skilled performance expected when working with hand and hydraulic torqued flanged joint and clamp connector.
➡️ Delegates will use manual and hydraulic tools in this technically detailed training which focuses on safety.
➡️ The course includes a varied range of products used for demonstrations and practical learning elements of the training.
